Miller Special Yachts - Vini-56
Like all of the rugged aluminum boats produced by Milton Miller's Brazilian team, the Vini-56 is designed for convenience and comfort - in access, navigation, maintenance, cargo, storage and accommodations.

Now Miller Special Yachts has teamed up with E motion Hybrid's Dave Tether to add convenient, push-button, hybrid-electric drive to his feature list.

A former software designer, Miller assembled a team of marine designers, builders and owner-explorers to produce the comfortable practical type of boats he was unable to find from other manufacturers. The team's tough, corrosion-resistant boats have penetrated ice fields above the Arctic Circle and circumnavigated Antarctica.

The Vini-56 has an enclosed pilothouse and wide companionway to provide easy access throughout the boat. A side opening through the coaming, combined with a lightweight, stowable gangplank, provides unobstructed movement between boat and dock.

The transom is designed to accommodate many different functions, making it especially useful for explorers. It can be set up as a swimming platform, garage, crew quarters, storage area, additional internal space, or left open to load the dinghy or a jet ski. A stern davit can be outfitted to load cargo or heavy diving or research equipment.

A shoal-draft, twin-screw variant of the keel/centerboard sloop will be especially useful for marine researchers. It will have twin keels and skegs that will let the vessel sit upright on the bottom at low tide in shallow water.
